Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

CRANT accesses organic social media data via the Facebook Graph API for your company's Facebook page and a handful of your competitors' publicly accessible company pages. The data is transformed and displayed in CRANT's product/dashboard "Brand Strategy Tool". The purpose of this tool is to provide social media and brand managers the ability to judge the performance of their brand vs their competitors, identify strategy weaknesses or opportunities, and ultimately craft better content.

2. Roles

Users: CRANT customers who pay a subscription fee for access to our Brand Strategy Tool. Users have access to Facebook Organic Social Media Data for their own Facebook company page, and the publicly accessible data for a handful of their competitors' company Facebook pages, both of which are accessed through the Facebook Graph API. Users only have access to their own dashboard and set of competitors. Note that currently, competitor data is unavailable until CRANT is approved by Facebook for "Page Public Content Access". Until then, we are displaying mock competitors/data.

3. Types of Collected Information

The following types of information may be provided by Users to CRANT:

Personal Information - Information that describes your CRANT account such as name, email address, company phone number, and company address.

Billing Information - Payment information is required for a subscription to become a User.

Facebook Page Information - The Facebook company profile names that you wish to monitor in the Brand Strategy Tool, including your own company profile. We will collect publicly accessible data from these pages daily via the Facebook Graph API.

Usage Information - CRANT currently does not collect information about the usage of our Brand Strategy Tool. We currently do not use cookies or pixels.

4. How Collected Information is Used

CRANT uses the information described above to provide our Brand Strategy Tool to paying Users. We may use your Personal Information (name, email, etc) to market our own service to you or provide communications about our product.

5. How We Share Information

Legally Required - CRANT may disclose any collected information where required by law.

Protection of Rights - CRANT may disclose information when we believe it necessary to respond to claims asserted against us or, comply with legal process, enforce or administer our agreements and terms, for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation, and to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.

6. How Can You Access Or Correct Your Information

You may contact us via email at [email protected] to correct, or request the deletion of information associated with your account (after verifying your identity).

7. Security

CRANT takes reasonable steps to protect against unauthorized access to your personal information. Personal information about your account is not accessible through our web application. The social media data within our tool is password protected. When our service is finished with development and made officially available to paying customers, our service will employ SSL. Because we currently use HTTP protocol, a limited amount of publicly available Facebook Social Media may be visible when used on an unprotected network.

8. Children's Policy:

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 (or under the age of 14 for anyone living in Spain or South Korea) or knowingly allow such persons to register. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the relevant age without parental consent, we take steps to delete that information.
